đĨ SciVision Challenge 2025
The SciVision Challenge 2025 invites students to creatively explain science through short videos. Whether you use animation, drama, or real-life experiments, the goal is to clearly and engagingly communicate scientific ideas. To support students across Sri Lanka, including in under-resourced areas, CPS provides free tutorials on how to make videos with everyday tools.
đ Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 13â18 years as of August 25, 2025
- Junior: Under 15 years | Senior: 15â18 years
- School: Must be enrolled in a Sri Lankan school
- Approval: Each entry must be certified by your School Principal
- Individual only: No group submissions
- Exclusions: Immediate family of CPS committee members
- Languages: English, Sinhala, or Tamil (language-neutral judging)

đ¤ Submission Steps
- Step 1 â Register: Fill out the online form on the official portal.
- Step 2 â Create Your Video:
- Max length: 2 minutes (YouTube time)
- Formats: Animation, drama, simulation, etc.
- Your voice/presentation must be included and visible
- Selected entries will be asked to re-upload with official logo
- Step 3 â Upload: Post on YouTube (public or unlisted)
- Step 4 â Submit Link: Add your video URL in the submission form

đ Popular Vote Award
Shortlisted videos will enter public voting on the SLAAS Facebook Page from September 22 to October 7, 2025. The video with the highest number of likes and positive reactions will win the Popular Vote Award â an independent recognition.

- All participants: Participation Certificate
- Finalists: Featured on SLAAS platforms
- Awards Ceremony: Held in December 2025 (details via email)

The SciVision Challenge is organized by the Committee for the Popularization of Science (CPS) of the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS). The event is fully funded through sponsorships and aims to ignite scientific curiosity among Sri Lankan youth.
